Insulation
Is thermal and/or sound insulation important to you? Know that, as a basic principle, all the shutters constitute an additional thermal and sound barrier. In particular, they make it possible to create an insulating air space between the window and the shutter. However, few models offer a real thermal and acoustic advantage. From this point of view, their usefulness is above all not to let the sun’s rays pass through in summer and to protect the window from bad weather in winter. However, there are several ways to improve the insulation thanks to the roller shutter!
Which shutter to choose to improve the insulation? To optimize the insulation of the roller shutter as best as possible, opt instead for an aluminum shutter with insulating polyurethane or PVC Plantation Shuttersslats. Indeed, these last two materials are naturally insulating. Nowadays, aluminum shutters are designed to avoid thermal bridges (injected foam).
